We got organized on Sunday the 25th and drove to Anchorage. First to our BnB to drop off some luggage then on to the airport to pick up our rental car. Then to Great Alaskan Holidays where we dropped off our home of the last two weeks. On to lunch, back to the BnB, played some cards and then back to the airport. Janet and Pete were dropped off to fly home. It was great to share our experience with them.
It was an overcast and drizzly day, we were busy and didn’t take pictures. Monday morning we visited my cousin who has lived in Alaska most of her life. She and her husband were very informative. Leaving them were drove to Hatcher Pass. It was drizzling and overcast but still a pretty drive and we took some pictures. The road was still closed from the winter at the top so we returned the same way we had come.
Today we are going down to the Kenia peninsula to look around.

We had a good night after walking around the harbor in Valdez. We had a big breakfast and then walked around the town some. We went to one of the two museums. It was very interesting. There was information on the oil spill. I was surprised to learn about the earthquake and the moving of the town. It was a nice museum. We then drove to Palmer. Janet sent some stuff home, Bev did laundry. We celebrated Pete and Janet’s anniversary again. 55 years! Getting ready to turn in our home of the past two weeks.
